The second largest island of the Aeolian Archipelago (which includes Lipari, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea, Stromboli and Vulcano), Salina has two mountains crossed by scenic routes that are ideal for hiking – Monte dei Porri and Fossa delle Felci - and which give it its characteristic camel shape.

There are only 200 inhabitants and few tourists, so don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a truly local flavor and unforgettable nature.

The sea is the highlight of this paradise: its clear waters won the prestigious “5 vele da parte della Guida Blu” award in 2016.

Be sure to visit Spiaggia di Pollara, where the movie “Il Postino” was filmed, located inside an old volcano, now inactive; Spiaggia dello Scario and Spiaggia di Rinella, a quaint crescent with black volcanic sand.

Set sail around Salina, discovering volcanic slabs scattered along its shores, such as Scoglio Cacato, Capo Faro and Punta Persiato.

Salina is also known for its culinary attractions, such as capers and Malvasia wine, so the island is a must stop on an Aeolian Islands cruise.
